  I could not have asked for a cozier experience -- the room/bathroom/bed was very clean. The wifi was good enough for me to do my work slash watch some videos. The staff was very accommodating with an extended checkout, me using their printer and local hike reccoendations. The breakfast is a light continental breakfast including some cereal, toast, coffee, and juice. There is also a nice lending library and a dozen boardgames for families. Pricewise, I visited two other hotels and gold river chalet was slightly more affordable so that was a plus.

  Comfortable older hotel, amazing staff who treat you like family. A cute lending library and great selection of board and card games. Everything was clean and well maintained. Wifi everywhere in hotel so you can finally use your smart phone! (No cell service in town) Standard continental breakfast was well stocked. Very comfy bed. Incredible views. Cinder block walls means it was very quiet. Excellent choice in this beautiful small community.
